My name is Annamaria, you can call me Anna 😉 and I am one of the digital ambassadors for Study in Sweden. I am so excited to share with you what studying in Sweden is like, my tips and tricks on how to choose the best location and programme to study, how to manage your time as a student, or how to make the most out of your university experience.
I am currently a student at the University of Skövde pursuing a Bachelor&#8217;s in Biomedical Sciences. Don&#8217;t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about my university experience or where and why you should study in Sweden. Based on what Sweden has to offer, it is in my opinion, the best choice to start your university student&#8217;s life in. Hi there!
My name is Brooke and I am honored to be one of the digital ambassadors for Study in Sweden getting to show you what it is like to live and study in Sweden. While I was applying to university in Sweden, I myself used the Study in Sweden blog and Instgram as a resource to get to know more about Sweden, how to write my application, apply for a residence permit and more! I hope that you will find my content helpful and engaging whether you are thinking about coming to Sweden or already live here.
I am very lucky and thankful to be here in Sweden as I have dreamt of living here for some time. Everyday feels like a &#8220;pinch me&#8221; moment whether I am doing simple tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping or simply walking down the street. I am currently living in Norrköping where I am studying Ethnic and Migration studies at Linköping University.
When I am not studying in the library or producing content for Study in Sweden, I like to drink coffee, second hand shop, go running, and watch documentaries. I am passionate about talking about mental health and allyship and you can look forward to seeing this kind of content from me.

Hey, Olá!
My name is Catharina (you can call me Catha 😊). I&#8217;m part of the Study in Sweden Digital Ambassadors team, and it&#8217;s a huge pleasure and opportunity to help you out by sharing some experiences, student tips, and making you laugh with funny (but important) Instagram Reels.
I’ve been living in Sweden since August 2020 and pursuing a Master’s Degree in Media and Communication Studies at Lund University. I knew little about Sweden before realising that I would start my studies here. While doing some research, I came across Study in Sweden Instagram account, and right away I started digging into all the content on other platforms.
Reading through students’ tips, appreciating Swedish landscapes (yet online), and getting to know more about the culture helped me to deal with insecurities and clarified many questions during my process… and the main concern: coming from a tropical country (Brazil), would I survive the Swedish Winter?
The answer is: Yess! I did it! So you can do it as well 😁.
I love cinnamon buns and connecting with people. Sharing my learnings as a student in Sweden is fulfilling for me and hope that’s going to be helpful to you. Feel free to reach out and ask any questions!

Hi,
No, we don&#8217;t have Kangaroos in Austria and no, I don&#8217;t know Arnold Schwarzenegger personally. But I promise you, it&#8217;s still a beautiful country!
For my Master&#8217;s, however, I felt that Sweden offered me the programme that spoke to me the most. After the application and moving procedure I&#8217;m now here in Gothenburg and enjoy every second of my study abroad – yes, even the dark and cold winter months. The city, even though it&#8217;s the second biggest in Sweden, radiates such a small city vibe that I highly appreciate. It might sound a bit weird but Gothenburg calms me down when life gets too hectic.
Having traveled quite a bit during my young life, I&#8217;m always looking for the thrill, something new to immerse myself in and a new environment that can teach me valuable life lessons. Duality is something I truly love about myself. I enjoy going out with people and working on my projects but I also energise by being at home, listening to music and reading a good book. Most importantly though, I am a sucker for meaningful connections and deep conversations.
The urge to improve myself in every aspect is what drives me, and I mean that not only on a personal level but also professionally. That&#8217;s why I applied as a Digital Ambassador in addition to my studies and my main job in Vienna, as I want to inspire people, share my experience and grow by stepping out of my comfort zone. Hi, I’m Jed!
I was born and raised in the Philippines, and I moved to Sweden this autumn semester to pursue my master’s in Leadership for Sustainability at Malmö University. I am also one of the recipients of the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals.
It’s always been a dream of mine to live abroad, and often, I still find myself in awe that I am currently living my dream in Sweden, one of the world’s most sustainable, inclusive, and innovative countries! Since arriving here in August, I’ve had the chance to experience a glimpse of the Swedish way of life, and I can’t wait to see what the coming months offer. Hej, Hi, Xin chào!
My name is Khang, from Vietnam. I’m currently studying MSc in Marketing Communication at Stockholm University. And yes you’re right, I’m living in the beautiful capital of Sweden, Stockholm – 9 000 km afar from my hometown.
I almost screamed when the email said I will be a new digital ambassador of Study in Sweden this year. But as a typical ambivert Libra, I immediately switched to an elegant and exciting smile (as in the photo). If you can’t see that smile in real life, it’s 100% because I’m getting lost (all the time), or too indecisive and overthinking with my choices!
Running, hiking, blogging, and drawing are always on my hobby list. I also love exploring nature, binge-listening to others’ stories, or playing some blue love songs with my ukulele. If I don’t discuss beauty pageants, then my topics will include LGBTQ+ activism, advertising vs. mental health &amp; wellbeing, and self-growth.

My name is Mengwei and I come from China. Being a new digital ambassador for Study in Sweden is such an exciting thing for me. I am currently studying MSc International Marketing and Brand Management at Lund University.
Why do I choose to study in Sweden? That is a question that many friends asked me. The answer is clear – I love its diversity, freedom, gender equality and sustainability. I believe Sweden is a place you can be who you want to be. And, of course, education and research here are also outstanding.

Hej, allihopa!
I’m Narmina. I was born and raised in Georgia, the country, not the state in the US. After studying in Western and then central Europe, I decided to live a LAGOM, comfortable, balanced, and supported life in northern Europe, and specifically in Sweden, of course!
So far, I have survived one Swedish winter and nothing else on earth can kill me anymore. I think the quote “What doesn’t kill you make you stronger” is said about Swedish winters. I’ve also learnt how to make Swedish chocolate balls and how to bake cinnamon buns. I’ve discovered Grönkål (green kale) which is the best remedy for Swedish winters. I became vegetarian in Sweden as the variety of plant-based food is really encouraging.
I love creating. I used to write poems when I was younger but then I realised that’s not my thing and switched to creating video content instead. I’m in the YouTube team trying to share with you everything about what I’ve observed, experienced, learnt and seen in Sweden.

My name is Nozinhle. Feel free to take a moment to try and pronounce that again..and again..and..again. LOL. You can call me Nozie.
I&#8217;m from the beautiful City of Kings (Bulawayo) in Zimbabwe and I am a Swedish Institute Scholarship holder currently pursuing an MSc in Robotics and Automation at the University West in Trollhättan. For me, Sweden was an obvious study choice. Besides the fact that it is well known for being a great study destination for international students, Sweden has the perfect combination of the three things that matter the most to me as a female engineering professional: innovation, sustainability, and gender equality. I thus look forward to experiencing the &#8220;Swedish Way of Life.&#8221;
When I&#8217;m not cracking formulae or playing with robots (literally), you can find me at the sports arena, the mall, or anywhere where there is food. I’m Olga. I&#8217;m originally from Russia but I&#8217;ve travelled a lot and have previously lived in the United States, Germany, and France. I&#8217;m looking forward to comparing Sweden to the other places I&#8217;ve lived in and seeing if it&#8217;s as good as they advertised.

Hej!
I’m Tina, 21 years old and from Germany.
Having moved around the world quite a bit during my childhood, it was just the next logical step to also spend my time at university in a new country.
I moved to Sweden due to my fascination with the “Scandinavian way of life”, the beautiful landscape, the great education at university and the diverse and vibrant community in my city. 
I love to read, listen to all sorts of music, hang out with friends and I enjoy makeup/fashion and art in general. 
Other interests I spend my time on include astronomy, marine biology, interior design, and psychology, as well as being a Netflix and YouTube addict.
My talents include making a delicious Pad Thai, talking in extensive lengths about the importance of knowing your Patronus, missing the bus (they are REALLY on time in Sweden) and getting angry stares in the library because I&#8217;m watching Brooklyn99 instead of studying.
It is my pleasure to share my adventures in Sverige with you, create content for StudyInSweden and give you an insight into what life is like in one of the happiest countries in the world.
