Summer vacation is over and I have gotten back to Sweden to start off another year of my LL.M. And what better way to start off the year than having a big Crayfish party with my classmates?
So there it was, a huge party tent, 50 people, hand-made party hats and a bunch of crayfish! It was my first time to have crayfish and I was quite thrilled to finally take part in this tradition.
So if I am going to be honest… I didn’t really like the taste of crayfish. And there’s way too much work around getting them edible – I got tired before I ate one!
However, not all was lost when I discovered my feelings towards crayfish. There was a whole lot of Västerbottenostpaj – a pie made of cheese from Western Bothnia. And… well, I love Västerbottenostpaj!
All in all, it was a great start of the new academic year, a lovely way to catch up with all my classmates and have fun while it’s still warm in Lund.
