University College Stockholm (Enskilda Högskolan Stockholm) is one of the leading institutions of higher education in Northern Europe, in the domains of theology and human rights. It consists of Stockholm School of Theology and Stockholm School of Human Rights and Democracy. UCS (EHS) offers degrees both at undergraduate and graduate levels (B.A./B.Th, M.A./M.Th., Th.D.). Programs and courses are offered in Swedish and English.
Stockholm School of Theology consists of the Department of Religious Studies and Theology and the Department of Eastern Christian Studies (Sankt Ignatios College). In addition to Bachelor and Master’s programs, the School offers doctoral programs in the following areas: Systematic Theology, Biblical Studies, Practical Theology with church history, Eastern Christianity in History and the Present, International Relations and Ecumenism, Religion and Art, and Religion and Democracy.
Stockholm School of Human Rights and Democracy offers B.A. and M.A. degrees in human rights and democracy, with philosophical, legal, political and social science perspectives on human rights.
As an ecumenical institution, the School welcomes students from different denominational and cultural backgrounds, and promotes academic rigor, encouraging its students and teachers to face challenging issues in an open and tolerant academic environment.
