What is the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH) best known for?

Open-mindedness and an inquisitive spirit are in the spotlight at KMH, and the school, like music itself, never stops changing and developing. A brand new campus with additional buildings is set to open in 2016, modernising the college and offering additional space for students and teachers from around the world.

Every year, we offer no fewer than 200-250 concerts and other public events. Almost every day our doors are open to the general public, inviting them to enjoy symphonic music, jazz, choral singing, chamber music, eurhythmics and much, much more.

What kind of programmes does KMH offer?

KMH offers programmes and courses for exhange students covering the entire musical spectrum, both practical and theoretical, from folk, jazz, and classical music to composition studies as well as music education and music and media production.

We offer four master’s programmes taught in English:

What’s the alumni network like?

Former KMH students include many eminent musicians and skilled music teach¬ers, as well as numerous successful creative specialists in a wide variety of other fields. They all have one thing in common: their KMH education gave each of them a firm foundation upon which to build.

What are ties to local industry like?

Not only are we physically located in the heart of Stockholm, we’re also an integral part of the city in a deeper sense. Students and teachers collaborate with various concert halls and theatres, museums and schools around Stockholm on a daily basis.
