    This master program aims to introduce students to the study of Global Political Economy (GPE), and provides a comprehensive introduction to the main theoretical approaches and most pressing historical and contemporary issues in the discipline. By addressing both mainstream and critical approaches, GPE students will be encouraged to think in a reflective and challenging way about issues like global financial crisis, international trade, global distribution of labour, migration, gender politics, global security, global governance, and environment. The program highlights three main perspectives that run through all courses and will serve as guiding principles to understand the emergence of GPE and its roots and implications in world affairs today: economics, history and power. Although the ambition is to present a multidisciplinary approach to GPE, the main focus theoretically and methodologically is within the fields of economic history and international relations.     International curatorial master´s programme focusing on art, realized in cooperation with leading art institutions. The aims of the programme are to provide profound theoretical and practical skills in exhibition creation, organizing various types of productions and presentations as well as providing insights into the relations between theoretical thinking and visual creation. Theoretical courses and separate seminars in art philosophy and exhibition theory, management and law are combined with practice based projects and 10 weeks internship at Swedish or international institutions. In addition to the master thesis, the student also produces a final curatorial project. The programme prepares for career options such as curator, exhibition producer or project manager within the cultural field. Furthermore it provides rich opportunities for creating networks relevant to the student’s future professional career.Students will be recruited on the basis of academic and/or professional merits, letter of intent and interview.     The program provides you as a student deepened empirical and theoretical knowledge in the field of Art History with a focus on Technical Art History, History of the Art Museum, History of Collections and Archive Studies as well as professional practices within the Art Museums. The programme is launched in the autumn semester 2017.The structure of the courses and examinations will develop your ability to understand and apply the professional practice regarding logistics, economics, law and administration applied in conservation institutions and equivalent where early modern art is disposed. As a student in the program, you will develop your ability to understand and apply scientific methods regarding the art object’s material, age and condition. Furthermore you will develop your ability to understand and to apply digital processes in order to give access to technical research results in databases and equivalents as well as to reconstruct/construct historical and current exhibition settings in digital form. Furthermore, you develop your ability to understand and to apply methods of archival knowledge and reconstruction of historical art collections. The program has an international profile with English as the main language and international teacher competence. Latin American Studies is an interdisciplinary subject that derives its theoretical and methodological approaches from the social sciences and humanities. The Bachelor Programme in Latin American Studies includes six semesters of study (180 credits) and consists of the main area-specific required courses totaling 90 credits, compulsory courses in Spanish or Portuguese, totaling 60 credits and optional course's for a total of 30 credits. Within the program, students have the opportunity to do an internship/field work in Latin America. In addition to the study of Latin America there will be given the opportunity to focus on individual themes and specific geographical areas of the continent. The program also provides in-depth training in one of the major East Asian languages, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.The programme's focus is on developing the student's ability in scientific analysis of East Asia as a whole, which is partly achieved by studying source material in each language, partly through in-depth studies of the other countries. By combining general studies with country-specific knowledge, the student has opportunities to discuss and contextualize East Asia, even on a global level.Within the programme it is possible to conduct an internship or field work, as well as studies abroad.     The Master's Programme in Middle Eastern Studies is an interdisciplinary program that provides in-depth knowledge of the Middle Eastern and North African societies, as well as area studies as an academic discipline.The program has two study paths; Arabic and Area studies.Study path 1 (Arabic) is aimed at students who have already studied Arabic and provides in-depth training in the Arabic language by developing the student's ability to use Arabic source material in scientific analysis.Study path 2 (Area studies) is aimed at students who have not studied Arabic or want to focus on regional studies and provides advanced studies in Middle Eastern and North African societies.The program's common courses deals with both Area studies in general and the Middle East and North Africa specifically, as well as scientific methodology and academic writing. The program also offers students the opportunity to select a number of courses in other subjects. Within the framework of the elective courses, the student can choose to do an internship, field studies and study abroad at a university in the Middle East and North Africa region.The program prepares students for work within the private sector, the government, international organisations, research and development, as well as media and journalism, which requires in-depth knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa and/or good knowledge of the Arabic language.     The Master's Programme in Middle Eastern Studies is an interdisciplinary program that provides in-depth knowledge of the Middle Eastern and North African societies, as well as area studies as an academic discipline.The program has two study paths; Arabic and Area studies.Study path 1 (Arabic) is aimed at students who have already studied Arabic and provides in-depth training in the Arabic language by developing the student's ability to use Arabic source material in scientific analysis.Study path 2 (Area studies) is aimed at students who have not studied Arabic or want to focus on regional studies and provides advanced studies in Middle Eastern and North African societies.The program's common courses deals with both Area studies in general and the Middle East and North Africa specifically, as well as scientific methodology and academic writing. The program also offers students the opportunity to select a number of courses in other subjects. Within the framework of the elective courses, the student can choose to do an internship, field studies and study abroad at a university in the Middle East and North Africa region.The program prepares students for work within the private sector, the government, international organisations, research and development, as well as media and journalism, which requires in-depth knowledge of the Middle East and North Africa and/or good knowledge of the Arabic language. The program also provides eligibility for studies at graduate level.

    Program and application information
    The first year of the master program deals with representations of fashion from a historical perspective as well as studies of fashion as material culture. Furthermore, students are introduced to relevant theories and methods within this academic field. Fashion as an industrial phenomenon is also in focus in order to highlight the diverse aspects of the topic. The students will equally have to attend an optional course at other departments during the first year of the master program.The second year considers the methodology and theory for the upcoming thesis. Fashion's connections to various consumer culture theories are also part of the field of knowledge in fashion studies and intend to broaden the understanding of the distribution and marketing of fashion. Students attend also a proficiency course that enables them to deepen a certain area within their studies. The second year of the master program ends with an individual written thesis in academic English and at a high scientific level.The master program prepares students for doctoral studies in Fashion Studies and related fields. Furthermore, the program can lead to employment within the broad fashion field, such as fashion journalism, fashion analysis, fashion marketing, financial analysis within the fashion industry and design profession with theoretical basis.
