I am Ozioma, a Nigerian communications professional and one of the Digital Ambassadors for the Study in Sweden IG team, currently pursuing my Master’s in Communication at the University of Gothenburg.
Back during my undergraduate days in Nigeria, I dreamt of studying in Sweden. I spent hours reading Study in Sweden blogs and watching ambassador videos, learning how to apply, write a motivation letter, and navigate life abroad. Those ambassadors inspired me deeply — and now, being chosen as one myself and as a Swedish Institute Scholar for Global Professionals (SISGP) feels like a full-circle moment, and I want to do the same for you.
I am currently watching autumn leaves fall outside my window while eating a Swedish cinnamon roll (you will get addicted once you try it). I have also swapped coffee for hot chocolate during fika, and Sweden has the best I have ever tasted.
My favorite part of my faculty is having lunch while facing the sea, though the seagulls are bullies, so guard your food! I am learning, creating contents, growing, and perfecting my communication skills every day, and I hope to inspire your own journey.
