The moment you’ve been waiting for is almost here—Swedish university admission results for master’s programs are coming soon! If you’re feeling a mix of excitement and nerves, you’re not alone. You might be wondering: How do I check my results? What do the different statuses mean? What happens next?

I remember being completely confused when I saw my admission results for the first time. The terms, the numbers—it all looked like a secret code! But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. This short guide will help you understand your admission results so you can read them with confidence.

Where Can You Find Your Results?

All your admission details will be available on www.universityadmissions.se in a document called “Notification of Selection Results”.

This PDF will include:

The four master’s programs you applied for
Your selection result (whether you got in, are on the waiting list, etc.)
The number of people admitted in your selection group
Additional notes or information about your status

It will look something like this:

Understanding Your Admission Results

Swedish universities use specific terms to describe your application status. Here’s what they mean:

  • Admitted 🎉The result we all hope for! You’ve been officially accepted into the program. Time to celebrate! 🎊
  • Conditionally Admitted 📝 – You’ve been accepted, but with a condition. This usually means you either:
    – Need to pay tuition fees (if you’re a non-EU student).
    – Must submit missing documents to finalize your admission.
  • Reserve – You’re on the waiting list. The number in the right column tells you how many people are ahead of you. If a spot opens up, the university will contact you. (Fingers crossed! 🤞)
  • Deleted – This means you haven’t been offered a place. However, if you ranked this program lower on your list and got admitted to a higher-ranked one, it will also show as “Deleted.” So don’t panic! This might just mean you got into your top choice.
  • Not Processed – This applies to late applications. If you submitted your application after the deadline, the university will only consider it if there are still spots available.
