Summer programmes in Sweden

Spend your summer enjoying the best Sweden has to offer: midnight sun, Midsummer festivals – and Swedish university life! Participating in a summer programme in Sweden is a great way to spend your summer abroad, enjoying a new city, relaxing in nature and meeting new friends – all while learning about your subject in a rigorous, challenging and stimulating academic environment.

This summer, several Swedish universities are offering summer programmes, giving you the chance to add a new dimension to your studies whilst enjoying Sweden at its sunny best. Visit each programme website for more information and to apply.

Stockholm Summer School

Stockholm Summer School is a collaboration between Stockholm University and Karolinska Institutet. This summer, courses are offered in global health and the Swedish Model.

Application deadline: 17 March.

Jönköping International Business School summer programme

Jönköping International Business School‘s summer programme offers three courses in international business.

Application deadline: 1 April.

Linnaeus University Summer Academy

Linneaus University‘s summer academy offers a range of courses in different subjects.

The application deadline was 3 February, but late applications are accepted as space allows.

Uppsala International Summer Session

Uppsala International Summer Session is an international summer programme offering courses in Swedish language and culture.

Application deadlines vary between sessions; check the programme website for more details.

Other courses

Several universities also offer individual courses during the summer semester. Though the application deadline has passed, some may still be open for late application. Visit to search for open courses and to find out how to apply.
